With all South Branch Career and Technical Center Automotive Students in attendance, Jed Metzler, SBCTC Automotive Instructor, discussed new and emerging alternative fuel vehicles with the students and used the supplied handouts to reinforce the need to ʺthink greenʺ when it comes to our transportation options for the future.

Event Highlights:
Aaron Roth from Roth Ford in Petersburg will be bringing the latest in Hybrid and Alternative Fuels Technology to the South Branch Career and Technical Center’s Automotive Technology Department. Aaron will share with the students some basic safety and operating characteristic of these Hybrid vehicles as well as where the future technology and the Automotive Industry in general is heading.

Host/School: South Branch Career & Technical Center, West Virginia

Event Highlights: The South Branch Career and Technical Center’s automotive instructor spoke to students about the changing technology of today’s advanced alternative fuel vehicles. He used the AFV Day Odyssey video, along with a school-owned AFV to stress to the students that alternative fuel vehicles are truly everywhere and we need to prepare and be ready to embrace them.
