Event Highlights:
San Jacinto College’s Odyssey event was bigger than ever in both size and participation. The event was put on in partnership with the San Jacinto College Geology department’s Alternative Fuels Car Show. This is the third year that the Automotive Department has partnered with the Geology Department to plan and host the combined events. Vehicles from Ford, General Motors, Honda, Nissan, and Toyota/Lexus were on display for the event.

Event Highlights: San Jacinto College held their first Odyssey Day event this year. The event featured displays from Ford, General Motors, Honda, Nissan and Toyota. A geology professor brought three of his geology classes to the event and had them collect information about the vehicles and the different technologies that are used in lessening the nation’s dependence on fossil fuels. San Jacinto College’s event featured representatives from area dealers and a vehicle converted to CNG from CenterPoint Energy. Guests, instructors and students were also able to participate in a “Ride-and-Drive” in a Chevy Volt or a Nissan Leaf.
