Event Highlights:

Pisgah’s Odyssey day was hosted in the gym during the school day for many students to come out and attend. Mark Bentley, from the Alabama Clean Fuels Coalition presented for about an hour, explaining and informing everyone about several different alternative fuels and the ways they are used. He also gave statistics on how much gasoline and diesel fuel is used where we live and how that can be changed. The event concluded with questions, free prizes, and take home information.

Event Highlights:

Pisgah High School students and Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) business presenters displayed and spoke on alternative energy forms to students in grades 5-12. Topics discussed were solar and nuclear energy as well as biodiesel as a fuel. The students were allowed to get “hands on” with the displays and interact with the speakers.
