Event Highlights: Alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles were on display at the Alexandria campus of Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA). Vehicles on display included hybrids, an electric NEV (neighborhood electric vehicle), an LPG (liquefied petroleum gasoline), a hydrogen fuel cell and a flex-fuel hybrid. Experts from NOVA, local dealerships, the U.S. Army, and the federal government were on hand to discuss the technology behind each vehicle. They also provided insight into the future of alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles. Local news channel, NBC-4, visited the event and aired two brief segments on the September 20th edition of their evening news and the September 21st edition of their morning news.
