Event Highlights: The Kansas City Regional Clean Cities Coalition annual meeting kicked off the 2008 Kansas City National AFV Day Odyssey event. The event included two local speakers on OEM AFVs and incentives for AFV purchases, which preceded the special guest speaker from Emission Solutions, who described his company’s mission and success in manufacturing OEM-spec CNG engines for fleets. Outdoor AFV exhibits began setting up in the early afternoon, where attendees could sample everything from city-driving, to fully electric vehicles and PHEVs, to propane engines and the City of Kansas City CNG fleet vehicles. The vehicle exhibits drew the attention of passers by. The ride-anddrive component was definitely the highlight of the event.
