Imagination Station / Ivy Tech Community College, Lafayette

Attendance: 50 students, children, consumers

Event Highlights: Because Imagination Station is a hands-on science education center, the goal of this event was to create an environment where children in the community could become familiar with alternative fuel technologies. To this end, several vehicles (each demonstrating a distinct alternative fuel technology) were put on display in the Imagination Station parking lot. Each vehicle was accompanied by an educational booth, which provided a hands-on science activity that was closely related to that technology. For example, an electric Chevy S10 was positioned next to a table that taught children how electricity works by creating various circuits. As part of the event, the Imagination Station museum and galleries were open to the public for free.
