Event Highlights: Honda Motorwerks celebrated Odyssey in La Crosse, where a diversity of attendees from high school students to retirees enjoyed a panel discussion plus educational presentations by compressed natural gas (CNG) and hybrid car owners. The panel discussion, facilitated by Chris Schneider, hybrid guru and owner of Honda Motorwerks, covered such topics as neighborhood electric vehicles and propane and natural gas vehicles. Early in the day, hats, t-shirts and care car kits were distributed. During lunch, participants tested their knowledge in a fun “CNG Fast Facts” quiz, and the winner was awarded thirty days use of a CNG vehicle. The Wisconsin Electrathon, part of the Wisconsin Energy Efficient Vehicle Association (WEEVA), was represented at the event by two area high schools – Bangor High School and Brookwood High School, which displayed its electric car. Diane Knothe did an excellent job photographing the event while Tommy Orrico provided comic relief with his caricatures.
