Event Highlights: Since its beginning in 2011, the Eau Claire Energy Organization has worked toward the goal of prompting student leaders in all South Carolina high schools to undertake activities that will strengthen the energy knowledge of students and the community through community service.


Student leaders, advisors and supporting faculty members held a National Alternative Fuel Vehicle Day Odyssey event on October 18, 2014 with a focus on hydrogen fuel cells, conducting labs to create a hydrogen fuel cell car.

Event Highlights: Students at Eau Claire High School were treated to guest speakers, who talked about energy conservation, alternative fuel and solar energy. The guest speakers represented SCAABE (the South Carolina Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy) and NFEE (National Framework for Energy Efficiency). The students also watched the Odyssey video and participated in discussions about alternative fuels and energy.
