Event Description:

Activities include an alternative fuel vehicle showcase complete with a portable solar array to provide power and a brief presentation at 3:00 pm.  Speakers include: Jessy Servi, Sustainability Manager for Outpost Natural Foods; Lisa Geason-Bauer, President of Evolution Marketing; Lorrie Lisek, Executive Director of Wisconsin Clean Cities; Captain Mike Keller from Port Washington Police Department and Jerry Medinger, Manager of Clean Fuels & Vehicle Technologies for the American Lung Association in Wisconsin.  The event is free and open to the public.  There will also be a “Selfie Scavenger Hunt” on Facebook with a prize awarded to the person who submits the best photos of a variety of alternative fuel items from a list found on the Wisconsin Clean Cities Facebook page.

Event Location: Five different locations around Milwaukee, WI

Event Highlights: The American Lung Association in Wisconsin celebrated their Odyssey event with an alternative fuel vehicle tour. AFV Odyssey Tour participants were able to enjoy a ride on a propane-powered bus and visit multiple sites which offered alternatives to gasoline—including propane, E85, biodiesel, electric charging and CNG. Tour stops included the General Mitchell International Airport Amtrak Station Building, the Airport Mobil multi-fuel public gas station, AmeriGas, Fusion Renewables and Discovery World.

The Oconomowoc Area AFV Odyssey Show featured neighborhood electric vehicles; a home-built, electric motorcycle; the all-electric Nissan Leaf; the plug-in, hybrid-electric Prius; E85-fueled 2011 Chevy Impala; CNG-fueled 2009 Honda Civic GX and a hybrid-electric Utility Bucket truck.
