AltCar 2014 included panel discussions, information booths, vehicle displays, speakers, and a wide array of vehicles available for ride and drive opportunities. Event highlights included sessions led by NAFA Fleet Management Association Professional Development Strategist Katherine Vigneau and VP Bryan Flansburg that provided fresh perspectives on all aspects of fleet management and provided attendees with true, actionable information for use to improve their fleets. With many issues associated with energy and transportation choices, AltCar includes exhibitors and education on urban planning, mass transit, energy generation and use, policy & regulations, telecommuting, sustainable lifestyle choices, reducing individual carbon footprints, electric vehicle infrastructure, alternative fuel technology implementation and more.

Event Highlights: The 2008 Santa Monica AltCar Expo was held at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, and hosted its third annual event with the largest crowd ever. Event highlights included panel discussions, information booths, over 100 vehicle displays, and numerous high profile speakers. Some of the displays included the TrioBike, the Lola EV, the AMPLE PHEV truck, the Triac, and Prometheus’ solar-powered electric motorcycle. Special speakers included those such as Dr. Andy Frank, the “godfather” of the plug-in hybrid and “Who Killed the Electric Car?” director Chris Paine.
